Redesigns are never easy

Redesigns can be difficult because there are always parts of the original design that you love but will not necessarily work with new conditions. I Finally have a new design that has many aspects that I love that I was able to carry over and re-translate from the first design, along with original elements that had to be omitted.

The new design uses the same concept as the original of using light that is reflected and filtered through a slat system that exist in all barns. This design is now based on a trailer that is longer but can only handle a fraction of the weight of the original trailer. For this reason, the design no longer utilizes a loft area and places all the spaces on a single plane. This will also help with an even distribution of weight on the trailer. A portion of the trailer will not be enclosed either, as a light weight porch that leads to the deck has been added to the design.

While perusing the architecture and design sites I came across a project in Connecticut that uses a similar slat system to what I would like to do on the tiny house. I am glad a came across this as it gives a very good idea of what the light will do to the space inside and the view from the outside.

I am certain there will still be changes the more I look at the layout and find ways to be more efficient. But any feedback or suggestions on the tiny house are always encouraged and welcomed.
